It’s been a year of pain and words
The year has ended
The words have gone
But the pain won’t let us go
It’s been a year of waiting and praying
The year is over
The prayers fading, each day unanswered
And the waiting never ends
It’s been a year of hell on earth
The year has past
The earth is crumbling
And hell has taken over
It’s been a year. It still is.
