This poem is dedicated to my people and above all Hashem who does not slumber nor sleep.
The Light of Israel will forever burn – nothing will ever extinguish us.
Six Million Souls suddenly taken then, left the world unstirred and unshaken.
The Light of Israel will forever burn – nothing will ever extinguish us.
In the Diaspora we may be, yet our hearts remain with our Holy Land, her deserts,
indescribable beauty, sacred hills, timeless mysteries, and Dead Sea.
The Light of Israel will forever burn – nothing will ever extinguish us.
The echoes of the past have come to haunt her people once again, almost eighty-five years to the month and day,
A nation’s dying cries at the crack of a burning red dawn, left all our souls completely tormented and torn.
No one heard us, no one cared, except Hashem’s comfort for all, in times of despair.
The Light of Israel will forever burn – nothing will ever extinguish us.
“Mothers and Fathers of Zion”
Perpetually bent in pain,
as her young are snatched from her womb so abruptly: –
all for the world’s own tyrannical purpose and ghoulish gain.
“Never again!”, it was said.
Yet in times of grief and turmoil, as one nation we stand, undivided and unsuppressed.
Devoid of dread.
The Light of Israel will forever burn – nothing will ever extinguish us!
