Families stay together
They learned when they were little
On holidays, on weekend trips
Because alone we’re just too brittle
Families stay together
They all continued saying
And yes, even as the kids got older
It’s what they kept displaying
Families stay together
Even when the kids move out
And build lives all of their own
Though they never had a doubt
That families stay together
Each day and now until the end
But how we wish that weren’t true
As we stand here, just the friends
